SLP Premier Open is the premier men’s crew of the True North Paddling Club. The team trains twice a week during both the winter and summer seasons and began our journey as True North paddlers who wanted to compete in the Premier Open division and race at the Canadian National Championships in 2019. Recently, the team has obtained a berth to the Club Crew World Championships (CCWC) which will be held in Ravenna, Italy in 2024.

Recent accomplishments:

• 1st in Premier Open at Club Crew World Championships (CCWC) in standard boat at 200m, 500m, and 2000m

• 3rd in Premier Open during Canadian Dragon Boat Championships (Nationals) in 2023

Despite these achievements, SLP is working harder than ever and is looking forward to future competitions at the local, national, and international stage. SLP continues to strive for success by empowering our True North athletes, and help grow the sport of dragon boat racing in Canada
